Recalling days of our life

I'm sitting in  a computer room in college with 24 minutes to kill before my Economics tutorial and I am trying to recall how I spent these last few days. It is a bit of a haze. There is so much going on, it takes a while to tap into the "what have I done"-mode in contrast of the "what do I have to do"-mode. But I'll do my best.

Monday I came home knackered after boxing practice. I was totaly determined I would not go out, not for any reason. It took about five minutes of persuation and I was in my boots and off again. Back into town. We had quite the nice travel into town actually. For one single reason: We found a ball. Yay! Never knew playing football on the Luas tracks could be such a winner, but I guess it was the game in combination with the life threatening thrill of.. I don't know running screaming off the track five minutes before the train was arriving. We are real adrenaline junkies all of us. Had quite a nice night after that aswell, allthough the thrill of Luas-ball was hard to top.

Tuesday held soccerpractice and a booz-free night for me, since we had our first game coming up on Wednesday.

the following morning i woke up feeling really, really shitty. Seems the Fresher's Flue finally caught up with me and with such a bad timing too! The day of the Game. Having promised and looked forward to playing I dran a liter of orange juice and decided nothing would keep me from my game.
the team left college at one (double bonus I missed boring French lecture) and headed off into the wild. As in Carlow, roughly two hours south-west of Dublin. We are a happy bunch, the team, so the time passed quickly. A little too quickly cause we arrived dreadfully late and only had five minutes for warm-up and tactics. This was the start of what was to be a rather terrible game, which I'd rather forget, but we lost 3-0. We played absolute rubbish and I'm bruised all over. On the positive side everyone showed great character and it was a lot of fun. I think we'll be much better for our next game, and I played 90 minutes which was reassuring.

I had some plans for the evening but i just went straight to bed and slept wonderfully until 7AM the next morning when the fire alarm went off. Fire exercise! I wasn't the only one cursing while walking (in my pyjama) to the sport's hall. In Halls we have no secrets anymore, everyone knows what you sleep in, and what your hair looks like in the brisk morning sun.

In the evening me and Hanna hosted a little soiree with some friends. We made left-overs in tomato sause and it was actually really tasty! Brian brought wonderfull apple pie, Conor brought wine and Cormac brought cider, which made quite a nice meal. Hanna, Conor, Cormac and I met up with Naomi at the Celt and had a lovely night over Cashel's pints and many laughs.

Five minutes to my Economics tutorial and then the weekend lies ahead. It's a bank holiday weekend so we have Monday off aswell.. happy days! I think I might hit the cinema tonight.. mmm
